The Committee
The Nominations Committee meets during the Annual Conference & Stage Expo each year to select candidates for USITT Board of Directors. These positions are described fully in the organization’s Bylaws.
The committee's charge is to develop a slate of qualified candidates for USITT's leadership. The committee is chaired by the Secretary and includes designated representatives from the Board of Directors and a diverse cross-section of the membership. The Election Process
The election process spans the entire year. The major steps and dates of the cycle are as follows:
2013 Cycle
- July 1, 2011 - nomination process opens for the 2013 cycle
- March 2, 2012 - deadline for nominations from members
- March 28 and 31, 2012 - the Nominations Committee reviews potential candidates during the Annual Conference
- April - June 2012 - candidates are contacted
- July 1, 2012 - slate announced and petitions for additions accepted
- September 1, 2012 - petition deadline
- November 2012 - electronic ballots are available online
- January 2013 - election results announced
Nominations
The Nominations Committee welcomes nominations USITT from members between July and March of each year. For more information and a nomination form in PDF format for the 2013 cycle click here. Send nomination forms to the USITT Office to the attention of Sherry Wagner-Henry, Secretary.

Petitions
After the slate has been announced, members may petition to add names to the ballot. Instructions on how to add a name by petition are available here. Petitions for the 2013 cycle must be received by September 1, 2012
