United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Inc. (USITT) is the membership association of design, production, and technology professionals in the performing arts and entertainment industry. It operates as a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation under statutes in the state of New York.
USITT is governed by the Board of Directors who are charged with the responsibility to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of the Institute in order to support its mission and needs. A copy of the Institute's Bylaws is a available here.
It also maintains an office where full time staff members conduct the day-to-day operations of the Institute. USITT also utilizes the services of independent contractors, as needed and appropriate. Contractors include the editor and art director of TD&T as well as the Stage Expo Sales Manager.
The USITT Office in located in Syracuse, New York where an Executive Director supervises the operations and staff.
