Mission
The Education Commission serves students and educators in all areas of theatre design and technology. A diverse group of educators and a student liaison work to create student-oriented programming for each Annual Conference & Stage Expo. The Commission regularly covers such topics as teaching, mentoring, tenure and promotion, curriculum, and student life.

Projects
The Education Commission is currently involved in three major projects.
The Creative Teaching Archive is a wonderful resource for new and innovative ways to teach theatrical design and technology. The Archive is currently under revision, check back in the near future for an update.
The Faculty Mentor Project pairs up young faculty members with those already tenured to provide an extra, unbiased eye towards improving the young faculty member’s dossier.
The Two-year Curriculum Project is working to establish a suggested two-year plan of study for students seeking an associate’s degree with the thought of transferring to a four-year program later on.
Interested in working on any one of these projects? Contact the Project Leader, listed below, and be sure to visit the Creative Teaching Archive website. Have an idea for a new project? Contact either of the Commissioners.
