Appointment:
Expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will be effective September 1, 2009. Initial appointment will be for a period of two to three years, with reappointment possible, based on UC protocols.

Responsibilites:
• Primary responsibility for the undergraduate (BFA) lighting technology and lighting design curriculum.
• Teaching of traditional courses in robotic programming technology, VectorWorks I and II, Digital Portfolios as well as Stage Lighting I for TD&P undergraduate majors.
• Supervise undergraduate lighting design projects.
• Assist in recruiting.
• Design productions at CCM.
• Serve on appropriate college and university committees.

Min. Quals.:
• MFA in Lighting Design, or a BFA in Theatre.
• 2-4 years of teaching and/or supervisory experience/mentoring.

Experience Required:
• 3-6 years of proven professional experience.
• Robotic programming, design and graphic expertise.
• Working or teaching knowledge of video projections design and/or video systems design.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.

The University of Cincinnati's prestigious College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) seeks a Technical Theatre Specialist/Costume Shop Foreman to assist in the organization, supervision and teaching of costume lab students. To maintain all costume studio equipment and work areas and assist with the organization and tracking of all costume production related documents. This position requires an essential understanding of industry standards in the area of costume construction, costume equipment and supplies, basic computer skills and strong organizational and leadership skills. This 10 month position reports directly to the Costume Technology Faculty.

The CCM costume shop is a large, professionally equipped space producing 12 productions within a 10-month academic year. The successful candidate will join a costume department team including two faculty members in the areas of costume design and costume technology, a staff draper/technician, and a staff shopper/crafts artisan.
