USITT's Architecture
Awards Program
Sponsored by the USITT Architecture Commission, the Architecture
Awards Program honors excellence in the design of theatre
projects. They were created in 1994 to recognize architects
for superior design work, to increase the interest of architects
in USITT, to promote USITT to a larger audience, and to provide
resource material for USITT members on contemporary theatre.
Honor Awards (the highest designation) and Merit Awards are
evaluated by a panel of distinguished jurors for creative
image, contextual resonance, community contribution, explorations
in new technologies, and functional operations.
Evaluation of entries for the 2008 Architecture Awards Program is complete; the deadline for entries was November 2, 2007.
The awards will be presented on March 22, 2008 at the Awards Banquet during USITT's Annual Conference & Stage Expo in Houston, Texas. |
