Projects
Architecture Awards Program
The USITT Architecture Awards Program brings public and professional recognition to architectural projects chosen for their design excellence and ability to find resolution for the myriad of aesthetic, regulatory, technical, and operational challenges present in the design of large and small projects for old and new theatres.
Honor Awards (the highest designation) and Merit Awards have been presented during the Awards Banquet culminating the Annual Conference & Stage Expo since 1994. To see the previous award winners, follow the link to Architecture Awards. Requirements and
Entry Forms are distributed each fall after which a distinguished jury reviews all submissions.
Architectural and Theatre Students "Ideal Theatre" Design Competition
The Architectural and Theatre Students "Ideal Theatre" Design Competition requires theatre students as "the Client" and architectural students as "the Designer" to work as a team. This team is to create their university's "Ideal Theatre". For previous award winners and information about the 2009 Competition follow this link.
