Education CommissionMissionThe Education Commission exists to serve students and educators in all areas of theatre design & technology. The leadership includes a diverse group of educators, and a student liaison, who works to generate student-oriented programming for each conference. The Commission regularly covers topics including creative teaching, mentoring, tenure & promotion, curriculum, and student life. ProjectsThe Education Commission is currently involved in three major projects: the Creative Teaching Archive, the Faculty Mentor Project, and the Two-year Curriculum Project. The Creative Teaching Archive may be found at www.users.muohio.edu/rozemaj/creativeteaching, and is a wonderful resource for new and innovative ways to teach theatrical design & technology. All the projects that are currently online have been through a blind-jury process, and may be considered published works, if you would like to add to the available projects. A syllabus databank is also available. We urge you to consider contributing to this valuable resource. The Faculty Mentor Project exists to pair up young faculty with those who have already achieved tenure, in an effort to provide an extra, unbiased eye towards improving the dossier of the young faculty member. The Two-year Curriculum Project is working to establish a suggested two-year plan of study for students seeking an AA degree, with the thought of transferring to a four-year program later on. If you are interested in working on any one of these projects, please contact the Project Leader, listed below, and be sure to visit the Creative Teaching Archive website. If you have an idea for a new project, please contact either of the Commissioners. Commissioners / Contact
