Mission
The function of the Theatre and
Production Management Commission is
to provide creative leadership and education to the
membership of USITT resulting in strong, dynamic, and
effective managers.
Projects
- Stage Manager Mentoring Project: Students
and young professionals are given the opportunity to participate in a real life
training exercise coordinating major conference events.
- Professional Development Workshops: During the Annual Conference & Stage Expo, PDWs in a variety of areas of management are offered.
- Portfolio Reviews: Experts in the field offer critiques to students.
- Distinguished Achievement Award: This award is given to managers who have contributed a lifetime of expertise and experience to the field of theatre management. Most recently Jessica L. Andrews was honored.
- USITT Stage Management Award: Sponsored by Clear-Com Communication Systems, this award is given to student satge managers who have proven excellence in production.
