10:00-11:20 am : Student Sound Presentations Ia

12:15-1:35 pm : Sound Designer Daniel Baker

NYC based sound designer and composer Daniel Baker (left) discussed his background and career, focusing on the current production of 
UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL which is in technical rehearsals at the Alley Theater in Houston.  Sharing in the discussion was the director of 
LINTELAlex Harvey(right).  They detailed a fascinating process which 
involved a third collaborator, world-renowned clarinetist/Klezmer 
musician Andy Statman improvising music which Daniel and Alex later 
edited and recomposed into the music score for the show.
