Awards
USITT strives to be a prominent leader of theatre and entertainment design, management, and technology through its conferences, exhibitions, awards, publications, and research. The Institute issues a variety of awards to honor individuals and organizations. The awards are funded by the New Century Fund, Commissioners Fund, and the General Operating Fund.

Grants & Fellowships
The USITT Grants & Fellowships program was instituted in 1985 to encourage and assist members wishing to undertake specific technical theatre projects or fellowship research. By doing this, the Institute fulfills its vision to actively promote and support research and development today that creates the theatre of the future. The results of these research projects are disseminated to the membership in many ways to expand the knowledge base. The programs are funded by the Edward F. Kook Fund, Samuel H. Scripps International Fund and the General Operating Fund.
