The program consists of not only the vital academic curriculum, but also of intensive hands-on production work where what is studied in the classroom environment is applied to the real world of theater. Students design for the Department's productions including 4 Mainstage productions in the 488-seat Gershwin Theater and 4-6 studio productions in the 120-seat black box New Workshop Theatre. A variety of internships, loans, scholarships and graduate assistantships are available. Additional awards are also a vailable by application after the student's first year of study.
