Statement: Cornell offers students the unique opportunity to study one course at a time (Nine 3 1/2 week-long courses each year) within a liberal arts environment. The Department of Theatre is vibrant and progressive and is the fastest-growing department on campus. Courses in Costume Construction, Costume Design, and Stage Make-up are offered regularly, with additional opportunities for independent study. Advanced students work as assistant costume designers and occasionally as costume designers for main-stage productions.
