Statement: In 2003, the departments of film, tv and theater merged to form one integrated School of Theater, Television and Film. Courses offered will address theatrical design, film/tv design, themed entertainment, costume history, digital media, beginning and advanced construction. The department maintains a study collection of historical garments and an on-site Resource Center of books, periodicals and other research tools. All staff and faculy are practicing professionals, with union membership in their area. Department productions designed by students and constructed by professional staff with students learning construction under professional supervision. Some of the places our students have worked during their education include the Old Globe Theater, SeaWorld, the San Diego Opera, and many others.
