| Statement:
The Southern Oregon University Theatre Department boasts a small, nurturing faculty and staff that enjoys working closely with students, all of whom are required to participate in some aspect of each production of our season in addition to their full class loads. The staff and teachers also advise and guide undergraduate projects, class requirements, showcases, and independent thesis projects. The proximity of the Tony Award-winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Oregon Cabaret Theatre is a great advantage, offering students access to excellent professional productions, internships and employment opportunities.
