About the Role:
USITT is seeking to grow our Engagement Team with a creative, detail-oriented person to assist in developing and processing visual communications for social media, website, video, and print. Applicant should already possess basic knowledge of graphic design concepts and video production.
Duties and Responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position is an hourly rate in the range of $20 to $22 per hour and does not include any employer-paid benefits. Temporary and part-time positions are not eligible for holiday pay or payment for days when the office is closed.
Equipment and Access: USITT will provide a laptop computer and any additional equipment, such as digital cameras and accessories for use. Such equipment will remain the property of USITT and must be returned to the Institute upon completion of service or upon dismissal from the Institute. Employees will be provided with a USITT email address, login credentials to USITT programs, websites, applications and online portals necessary for success. These will be determined by the individual supervisor. Access is during the term of employment only.
Location and Work Hours
The position may work from USITT’s National Office in Liverpool, NY or may be hybrid or remote, as determined by department head. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. All employees, including hybrid or remote employees, must be based in the US and employees will work within the set schedule of the National Office (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, regardless of actual location) unless other times are developed and approved in advance by the supervisor. The actual work schedule will be determined by your supervisor. If chosen, the candidate should be available to start as soon as possible.
Travel
There may be mandatory travel to in-person staff gatherings or trainings several times each year. Position will also require mandatory attendance at the USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo, generally held in March at locations throughout the US. Travel and accommodation will be provided. Work schedule during the Conference will greatly differ from the rest of the year.
