Membership
USITT is the association of design, production, and technology
professionals in the performing arts and entertainment industry.
Founded in 1960, USITT's mission is to actively promote
the advancement of the knowledge and skills of its members.
Our 3,600+ members live, work, and do business throughout
the United States, Canada, and 40 other countries. Our members
include:
- scenery, costume, sound, and lighting designers;
- scenery, costume, sound, and lighting technicians;
- properties, makeup, and special effects craftpersons;
- stagehands;
- architects;
- theatrical consultants;
- acousticians;
- performing arts educators, and staff;
- performing arts manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors.

USITT offers a variety of funds and projects you can support.
All donations benefit the design, production, and technology
community. Tax-deductible donations may be made to the
Edward F. Kook Endowment Fund, New Century Fund, USITT Fund, and
the International Activities and PQ Funds. It is also possible
to set up a special named gift to recognize a particular
