ABSTRACT: The 2003 USITT Young Designers & Technicians Awards‹given to outstanding students, as well as young professionals, in the areas of design, management and technology in the performing arts‹were presented at the Keynote Address and Annual Meeting on March 19, 2003 during the USITT Annual Conference & Stage Expo in Minneapolis. Students and recent graduates from twenty-six schools were represented this year. Congratulations to this year¹s award winners featured in this article, and to the nearly forty-six exceptional designers and technicians who participated this year.

Note: Cricket S. Myers, winner of the 2003 Clear-Com Intercom Systems Sound Achievement Award, provided some portfolio samples of her sound designs.
