Our team in Syracuse, NY is adding a Project Manager responsible for:    


• Performing project management duties such as project organization, budgeting, scheduling, purchasing and production functions as required to lead projects through the entire design, manufacturing, and installation process. This includes travel to work sites when required.  

• Professional interactions with designers, engineers, production personnel, contractors, or customers involved with projects. Ability to work in cross functional team environment.  

• To interpret specifications and drawings and take responsibility for all technical aspects of creating complete, functional and safe mechanical designs from them.   

• To possess awareness of multiple project schedules and the ability to manage multiple projects.  

• To understand and meet contractual conditions and performance.  

• To perform following daily PM activities, including but not limited to:  

o Drawing submittal coordination including review and coordination with other partners, both internal and external  

o Coordinate drawing and production schedule with engineering and operations  

o Drawing and packing list release  

o Filing of all project documentation within JRC folder structures  

o Develop & submit RFI’s and Change Orders  

o Subcontractor and vendor coordination   

o Site coordination with contractor and other trades  

o Risk analysis and mitigation  

o Project billings and costing analysis   

o Post-mortem review and Lessons Learned for future projects  

• To become familiar with the documented company processes and standards, and to execute the above job responsibilities following these.    

• To identify non-conformances and initiate Corrective Action Reports as necessary.  

• To perform work activities that are in line with achieving the company’s Quality Objectives   


Qualification Criteria:  

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in construction or entertainment production industries  

• 5 years of Theatrical Rigging/Machinery use/installation or in Construction  

• Previous experience in construction project management preferred  

• Familiarity with engineering mathematics, principals, and codes that govern the design of theatrical machinery and structures   

• Strong written and verbal communication skills  

• Excellent organizational skills and time management  

• Proficiency in MS Office   

• Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Project or similar preferred  

• ISO 9001 Quality Management System Awareness  

• Applicable QMS procedures/work instructions  

• ETCP Certified Rigger - Theatre
