Albright College, a dynamic liberal arts college in Reading, PA, invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre – Scenic Design, beginning in August 2019 and running through the 2020-2021 academic year. Our department embraces the liberal arts tradition and supports the college’s interdisciplinary mission. We seek a collaborative and versatile colleague who will contribute to the creative and intellectual development of our undergraduate students, both majors and non-majors alike. The selected candidate will teach Design and Theatre History courses and Design for our nationally recognized theatre production program. The teaching load is three courses per semester, or the equivalent production load. Service expectations include academic advising, mentoring of students, and service on college committees. Candidates should be active in scholarship and/or creative work in their field. The department produces a four-show season annually and participates in KCACTF.  The successful candidate will participate in the season and support co-curricular student projects, depending on expertise. Successful candidates will possess an MFA or PhD, professional experience, and evidence of teaching excellence at the college level.
