The Safety Manager administers, maintains and improves our safety program. Creates and manages the budget for training. Leads safety meetings and employee training. Conducts project specific safety assessments. Keeps accurate and comprehensive records. Ensures compliance with Cal/Fed OSHA regulations and ANSI standards. Conducts investigations and follows up on incidents and accidents. Keeps abreast of pending regulations and standards. Develops new training and inspection programs to ensure compliance. Continually evaluates our practices and implements changes to improve safety. Regularly communicates with management regarding all aspects of our safety programs. Helps promote safety as the number one priority with all stakeholders. Project related travel, as necessary.
Minimum five years of experience as a safety professional. Working knowledge of entertainment rigging and equipment preferred. Excellent planning, communication and organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate and interface with different departments within the Company. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
