The Department of Theatre and Dance invites applications for a full-time 9-month non-tenure track faculty appointment at the Assistant Lecturer rank in production stage management and production coordination starting Fall Semester, 2023. Individuals will teach the stage management curriculum and mentor student stage managers and assistant stage managers providing supervision for all stage management teams. Student stage managers provide individual support for main stage and student productions and serve as the rehearsal and calling stage managers. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
M.F.A. in Stage Management at the time of appointment; or an M.F.A. in a theatre- and dance-related degree with stage management training with 3+ years equivalent professional stage management experience; or an M.A./M.S. in Stage Management/Stage Management concentration with 3+ years equivalent professional stage management experience.
Classroom teaching experience at the college or university level.
Professional experience as a production stage manager or stage manager for dance, theatre, or musical theatre.
Successful candidates must be available, willing, and able to work evenings and weekends based on the production schedule.
