Teach courses in scenic design, scenic painting, props, period styles and/ or other courses as assigned; Serve on graduate thesis committees; Serve as Scenic Designer for departmental productions and/or, through indirect teaching mentor and supervise graduate and undergraduate scenic designers; Supervise students working in the paint and properties area of the scenic studio; Maintain an active agenda of research and/or creative activity; Serve on departmental committees; Balance the teaching and production needs of active undergraduate and graduate theater programs at a top research University; and Interface with faculty, staff and students in a highly collaborative department.


Required: MFA in Theater - Scenic design. Preferred: Demonstrated university level teaching experience; Experience as a scenic designer; Demonstrated expertise in Computer Aided Design, drawing, rendering, painting, and model building; Additional experience in other theatrical design areas, design/art direction or multi-media and projection design.
