Fly Rail Technician
The Indiana University Auditorium Fly Rail Technician is responsible for all maintenance pertaining to the fly-rail and counterweight system and operation of fly-rail and rigging systems for all events in the venue. The Fly Rail Technician consults with Auditorium users as needed regarding fly rail and rigging needs, assists the Head Carpenter in all production requirements for the deck (including AV) and assists in supervision of part-time hourly employees. This position, along with the three other full-time Auditorium appointed stagehands, is non-exempt and is represented by IATSE Local 618.

High school diploma or GED.
Bachelor’s degree in Scenic Design, Stagecraft, Lighting Design, Sound Design, and/or Stage Management.
4 years of experience in a related field.
5 years of experience in production/stage management at a venue that hosts large-scale professional tours and events.
Proficient communication skills.
Maintains a high degree of professionalism.
