University of Florida School of Theatre and Dance seeks applicants for its three-year MFA graduate scenic design program beginning August 2022.
MFA candidates receive a graduate assistantship that includes a stipend of approximately $18,000 per academic year, full tuition waiver, partial fee remission, and medical insurance.
The program produces 11 shows per season, including dance concerts, plays and a musical.
This is a highly selective, three-year, 60-credit terminal degree. The curriculum balances classroom study with practical production experience and culminates with the completion of a graduate thesis.
Graduate students will work their assistantship position of twenty hours/week in the shop and/or teaching classes.
All graduate candidates are required to pass a portfolio review and interview process for acceptance into the program.
