The University of Wisconsin-Madison Mead Witter School of Music seeks a Music Operations Manager to provide leadership in its performance operations and instructional facilities and in managing professional and student staff in those areas. The Mead Witter School of Music presents over 200 performances a year including student and faculty recitals, large ensemble performances, guest artist performances, special events, and supports rental agreements with local organizations. The person in this role, which reports to the unit Director, will manage day-to-day operations as well as lead strategic and budgetary planning in their areas. Apply by September 27, 2023
Requirements to apply:
--Bachelor's Degree preferred
--3-5 years of music technical and production management experience
--Knowledge of rigging, carpentry, theatrical lighting, and theatrical systems
--Previous experience managing and supervising complex teams
--Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships, with faculty, staff, students, and the public
--Familiarity and understanding of various types of Music and/or related performance configurations
--Ability to set priorities and organize work to meet multiple deadlines, outstanding time management and analytical skills
--Must have strong communication skills with the ability to write and convey information to multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the School of Music and the University
