Summary

The Production Manager, Stage Operations (Rigger), under the Director of Production, will be responsible for executing all aspects of deck and rigging operations and the coordination of technical elements throughout productions presented at the Jay & Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center (GPAC), a multi-use performing arts venue hosting touring and professional artists, university and community performances, as well as outside event rentals. This position serves as the deck chief and fly operator for productions and will be responsible for overseeing show specific rigging, maintaining stage equipment and work areas, establishing a safe working environment, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Technical Theatre or another relevant field. Employer may consider relevant experience in lieu of education. Loading in and out rigging and scenery for live performances including touring productions. Experience with maintaining and operating single purchase fly system; proper operation and maintenance of chain motors and pit lifts; experience working at heights safely. 2 years of supervisory experience required.
