Western Colorado University invites applications for the position of Technical Director of Theatre within the Communication Arts B.A. program. This is a full-time, 12-month, administrative position which oversees the maintenance and safe operation of two active theatres and related technical facilities; the organization, training and supervision of student assistants and stage managers; the teaching of one
to two courses per semester; and production design for Western’s theatre organization Western Theatre Company.

MA or MFA required. Experience as a technical director for college or professional theatre and skills in design and production management are highly desirable. Demonstrated interest in undergraduate education and excellence in teaching is a plus. Strong leadership, collaborative, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to form and supervise teams of students required.
