Cirque du Soleil's own Stacey Myers, GSM at KA, leads a team to train Stage Manager candidates in the following areas:
“Being a Legal Eagle”
“Communication: A Must Have Skill Set”
“The Call of Climb and The Forest”
“Tips and Tricks for Your Tool Box” and others...
And, learn to work with Aurora (Cirque's proprietary artistic management software).
Candidates will have to attach their resume' during the application process but don't forget to bring copies to Vegas so that some of Cirque's SM staff can review it during the weekend. The staff will give advice and suggest tips for building your professional resume'.
Stacey A. Myers, General Stage Manager, KA
Stacey has been with Cirque du Soleil for over 15 years. She initially joined Alegria in Biloxi as a technician. Later Stacey went on tour with Alegria as a Stage Manager for almost 4 years during which time she became the General Stage Manager, visiting such places as Australia, Canada, and Singapore and opened the market in Mexico. Stacey is now the General Stage Manager for our resident show KÀ at the MGM Grand Casino and Hotel. She was involved with the creation of KÀ from 2004 and happily continues to face the challenges of one of Cirque du Soleil's largest shows.
Alana Clapp, General Stage Manager, Mystere
Alana began her career with Cirque du Soleil in 2009 as an intern with the Stage Management team at “O”. After graduating from the Stage and Production Management program at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama, she returned to “O” as an Asst. Stage Manager, later serving as interim SM there. In 2012 she joined Cirque’s production of Mystere as a Stage Manager, becoming interim General Stage Manager in September 2015.
