Student Assistants

Applications are now open.

Student Assistant positions are highly sought after each year. Make sure to apply early for these positions. Volunteers will be able to work in all areas of Conference such as the information booth, stage expo floor, bookstore, registration, and more! Student assistant positions are available on a first come, first serve basis. DO NOT WAIT.

Student Assistants will be assigned to work in a variety of areas to assist in the production of the Conference & Stage Expo. Applicants are selected on a first come, first served basis. In exchange for at least 15 hours of work at the Conference, USITT will waive the student Conference registration fee.

We are seeking Student Assistants in the following areas:

  • Troubleshooters
  • Bookstore
  • AV Room
  • Special Exhibits
  • Room Monitors 
  • Stage Expo:
    • Info Area
    • Expo Door Monitors
    • Expo Rebooking Runners
    • ADA Booth
    • Thursday Stage Expo Opening 
    • Games (Production! Game Hour)
  • Special Events Ushers:
    • Membership Meeting Ushers 
    • YDMT Awards Ushers 
    • Reception Ushers 
  • Labs:
    • Paint Lab
    • Costume Lab
    • Light Lab
    • Sound Labs
    • Digital Media Lab
    • Makeup/Wig Lab
    • Micro-Controller Lab
    • Scene Design Lab
    • Technical Production Lab

We are also seeking Mainstage Assistants to assist with the Mainstage area. Volunteers are needed March 12-15 for load in (lighting, sound, video, and general assistance) and March 18-19 for load out (lighting, sound, video, and general assistance). Exact schedule will be confirmed in early 2023.

You must be a current USITT Student or Early Career member to be accepted. Application to the program does NOT guarantee acceptance; you will receive confirmation if you are accepted or placed on a waitlist.

 

There is a $25 administrative fee for all applications.
