CITT/ICTS Sets Dates for Summer Show
May 20, 2025
CITT/ICTS is heading east for the 35th edition of its annual conference and trade show. Rendez-vous 2025 will take place from August 13-16, at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Held in a different Canadian city each year, Rendez-vous brings together emerging and established professionals from across the live performance and events industry for four dynamic days of professional development, networking, and collaboration.
The main program features a wide range of training workshops, educational sessions, roundtables, and panels covering key aspects of live performance production -- including technical and production direction, stage management, lighting, sound, video, props, costumes, design, theatre architecture, health and safety, and equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
These sessions are complemented by pre-conference training, offering one- and two-day hands-on workshops led by industry leaders, along with a dynamic trade show featuring products and services for the live production sector, and social activities designed to build community and spark collaboration.
"We're excited to share that Rendez-vous 2025 will feature Mental Health First Aid Training as part of the pre-conference workshops and offered in collaboration with The AFC," the association says.
Registration for the conference is now open, with options for full conference or day passes. Attendees can take advantage of the early bird rate available until June 16 and secure the best value on their full conference passes. The event is open to both CITT/ICTS members and non-members, with a special student rate and a special offer for members of performing arts organizations.
The association says the Rendez-vous Trade Show is an excellent opportunity for companies to showcase their products and services to live events and performing arts professionals from across Canada, allowing them to expand their Canadian market reach, grow their business, and tap into the Atlantic market for new local buyers. This year's edition will be held at the Sir James Dunn Theatre, Dalhousie Arts Centre.
More details on the conference schedule and programming will be announced in the coming weeks. For the latest updates, registration details, booth reservations, and information on pre-conference workshops, please visit the official Rendez-vous website.
