Behind the Scenes Announces Free Upcoming Virtual Offerings to Support Safer, Healthier Entertainment Workplaces

Behind the Scenes is offering two upcoming, free virtual trainings designed to support the wellbeing and safety of entertainment industry workers. These sessions provide practical, industry-specific tools to help individuals respond to common workplace challenges including bullying, harassment, and substance use.

Bystander Intervention in the Entertainment Industry helps equip participants with techniques to safely intervene in situations involving bullying, harassment, or intimidation without fear of retaliation. Dealing with Substance Use in the Workplace: Why and How We Help guides participants in recognizing signs of substance misuse, starting supportive conversations, and understanding available resources, treatment options and workplace responsibilities.

Both trainings are developed and presented by industry professionals and are tailored to reflect the realities of entertainment work—from short-term gigs to long-term workplaces.

Both sessions are free to attend, but advance registration is required. For more information and to register, visit: btshelp.org/bystander and btshelp.org/workplace

These programs are part of the Behind the Scenes Mental Health Initiative, which works to reduce stigma and expand access to mental health resources across the entertainment industry. This work is made possible through the continued efforts of individuals and organizations who help spread the word and support these critical resources.

Visit btshelp.org/mentalhealth to see all the available tools and resources in our Mental Health Initiative. Email mh@btshelp.org for more information on bringing private trainings offered by BTS to your organization.
