ESTA has published a new event safety standard, available on ESTA’s TSP standards download page.
On July 6 ANSI’s Board of Standards Review approved another ESTA standard: ANSI ES1.9 – 2020, Crowd Management. This standard – the second to be published in a series of event safety guidance standards currently in development – helps the user understand the basic principles of crowd management theory and vocabulary, so they can be appropriately applied to certain reasonably foreseeable risks that arise during live events. It is available for free download from the TSP website at tsp.esta.org/freestandards. It is also available for sale from ANSI and IHS.
