The winners of this year's Lucille Lortel Awards have been announced. The awards, which honor achievement in New York's Off-Broadway theatre scene, are produced by the Off-Broadway League and Lucille Lortel Theatre, with additional support provided by TDF.

Jan Pappelbaum took the award for scenic design for the Arlekin Players production of Our Class, Tadeusz Slobodzianek's drama about antisemitism in Poland, co-presented by Classic Stage Company. Costume designer Oana Botez was cited for her centuries-spanning work on Orlando, Sarah Ruhl's adaptation of the Virginia Woolf novel, presented by Signature Theatre. In the lighting category, Tyler Micoleau's eerie, noirish lighting won for The Antiquities, the speculative tale about AI co-produced by Playwrights Horizons, Vineyard Theatre, and Goodman Theatre. Sound designer Fabian Obispo was cited for his expansive work, creating the aura of professional sports matches, in the drama SUMO, produced by the Public Theater. And David Begali won for projections evoking life in and around a Nazi death camp in Here There Are Blueberries, a Tectonic Theatre production presented by New York Theatre Workshop.

Our Class is the big winner with four nods, followed by the musical The Big Gay Jamboree, Here There Are Blueberries, and the romantic comedy Table 17, all of which earned two apiece.
