Behind The Scenes is The Behind the Scenes Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization established in early 2005 to create and support charitable programs for the entertainment technology industry. They aim to provide a safety net for entertainment technology professionals who are seriously ill or injured or in need of mental health or substance use support.

To do this, they provide Basic Needs Grants to industry professionals and their families in the event of illness or injury and support mental health with training, counseling grants, and tools to use on the job. Behind The Scenes is a go-to resource for the live events profession. 

A new way to support the charity and its mission was announced at USITT24. The Golden Ghostlight Runners is a group intent on raising money to support Behind The Scenes programs by looking for donations to participate in several upcoming races. Representing all running levels, the group will officially launch in May with several events including:

• The Valkyrie 50K
• The Vancouver Marathon
• She is Beautiful 10K
• The Glendora Memorial Day 5K
• Self-supported 100k

Whether you're a seasoned racer or just starting out, every step and every donation makes a real difference," says Amy D Lux, lighting systems design consultant and graphic designer, who invites runners to sign up.
