April 2026: Adlib brought the latest technology trends emerging from NAMM and ISE into a practical UK setting with its recent Spotlight event in London, bringing together manufacturers, engineers, technical managers and buyers to explore how new tools will be applied in the market.
Rather than replicating a trade show format, Adlib’s Spotlight was designed to create space for deeper evaluation and discussion, helping attendees explore how the latest technologies translate into touring, venue and integration workflows.
For many attendees, the event marked the first opportunity to experience several of the latest audio, lighting and video solutions on UK soil. This included the first public showing of German Lighting Products’ TWYN lighting fixture and Fourier Audio’s transform.go.
More than 20 manufacturers participated, with hands-on demonstrations forming the core of the experience. Adlib’s technical team worked alongside brand representatives to explore how systems integrate, how they affect workflows, and where they make sense in real applications, enabling attendees to assess technologies beyond specification sheets.
Brands featured on the day included: Allen & Heath, Astera, Avolites, Ayrton, Canon, ChamSys, Chauvet, CODA Audio, DiGiCo, DPA, EM Acoustics, ETC, Fourier Audio, German Light Products, Karno, KLANG, L-Acoustics, MA Lighting, Martin Professional, Panasonic, Peli, ROBE, Sennheiser, Shure, Sound Devices, SSL and Yamaha.
Extending beyond Adlib’s London facility, attendees were also invited to a nearby grassroots music venue for live audio demonstrations featuring systems from L-Acoustics, CODA Audio and EM Acoustics. This gave engineers the chance to hear systems in a real-world acoustic environment, rather than a controlled showroom.
Attendees at Spotlight drew a broad cross-section of the live production industry, with professionals spanning live music venues, touring productions, system integration, theatre, houses of worship, corporate AV, broadcast and event production.
Paul McMullan, Head of Business Development, Sales & Integration at Adlib, commented:
“Industry shows like NAMM and ISE are invaluable for seeing the scale of what’s emerging, but they don’t always allow time to fully explore how those technologies translate into day-to-day use. Spotlight was about creating that space; bringing people together to reflect on what they’ve seen, or catch up on what they’ve missed, and then discuss how these tools fit into real workflows. That process of interpretation is where we see our role, helping turn innovation into something practical and deployable.”
Bill Jones, UK Sales Manager, Robe, added:
“Events like this are important because they connect product development directly with real-world application. Having time with engineers, integrators and specifiers in one place creates a valuable feedback loop, helping shape how these technologies evolve and where they deliver the most impact. It’s also great that Adlib has this central London space that brings the industry together in such an accessible way for these kinds of conversations”.
Chandler Whitelock, Director, Coastal Events and Production comments,
"We had a great time at Spotlight. Unfortunately, we couldn’t attend ISE this year, so being in a room with a range of technology including some UK first demos was a great opportunity. In addition to seeing this, it was great to talk in detail with manufacturers about how these products are used and implemented in different projects.”
By bringing together decision-makers from across the live entertainment industry, Spotlight reinforced Adlib’s role not just as a technology supplier, but as a partner in helping clients understand what works in practice and make more confident decisions.
