VLS Appoints New President

March 24, 2022

Vincent Lighting Systems (VLS) and Canterbury Capital LLC are proud to announce that John Petrafesa has been appointed as the new President of VLS and accompanying brands, Production Advantage powered by VLS and Platinum TDM, from our office in Cleveland, OH.

As President of VLS, John will oversee all company business activities and most importantly, continue to preserve and grow our company culture as we emerge from the past two years of challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

John’s career in the live entertainment industry began at Connecticut Theatre Supply in Milford, CT which his father owned and operated, and the rest is history! John went on the road with multiple national Broadway tours as a sound engineer, and more recently held positions in sales, operations, finance, and management for Production Resource Group (PRG) and Production Glue.

Paul Vincent, Founder of VLS, commented, “I am pleased that John Petrafesa will be the next President of VLS. John has a strong industry background as well as the kind of financial and management experience that will allow him and the company to succeed. In addition, his temperament and approach will help him fit well into the VLS culture. “

All of us at VLS are thankful to Bill Groener, former President of VLS for his invaluable guidance and steadfast resolve during the pandemic and wish him continued success as he moves back to the Northeast to become the COO of The Lighting Design Group and be closer to friends and family.

John Petrafesa commented, “These are challenging times, but we will emerge stronger. With a relentless focus on our employees and customers and preparedness to challenge ourselves and make bold decisions, we can only strengthen our position as their respective champions. VLS is a great business made up of great people, with real expertise and I am confident that together we will succeed beyond our wildest imaginations. After all, we’re in the business of bringing imagination to life!”
