Collaborate with Costume Designers and the Production Director to bring designs to life, lead mainstage costume builds, serve as lead draper, and supervise stitchers, apprentices, overhire, and volunteers. This is a hands-on position for a creative, organized, and collaborative costume professional who can manage multiple projects and production deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in theater, costume design, fashion design, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in costume construction, including patterning, draping, cutting, sewing, alterations, and repairs.

CAD Drafter

CAD Drafter
The CAD Drafter of TTS Studios reports to the Head of Tech Design and is responsible for creating 3D models and 2D construction plates as well as CNC files and other technical / graphical communications. CAD Drafter is responsible for considering the scope of the project and technical briefs and for interpreting the design intent to create the best construction plan possible. They also work with the Project Managers and Director of Production to provide accurate, efficient plans for the different fabrication departments as well as closeout/installation documentation. The CAD Drafter is responsible for participating in the creation and maintenance of all modeling, drafting, and CNC standards.
Hours: Monday through Friday onsite, 8:00am to 4:30pm; 40 hours of work expected per week
Duties:
- Report to Head of Tech Design for task assignments and due dates
- Design technical solutions for units based on project parameters and technical briefs
- Report purchasing needs to Project Management throughout the design process
- Create 3D models and work out engineering challenges to turn into construction drawings
- Continuously and consistently work towards improving processes, drafting standards, cad templates, block library, etc.
- Work with other departments to explore/experiment with new products and materials
- Peer-review completed models before the technical design teammates create construction drawings
- Peer-review construction drawings before they are released to the shop
- Participate in project engineering meetings
- Collaborate with Head of Tech Design, Project Managers, and Director of Production
- Participate in part standards creation
- Create closeout and assembly documents per project
- Assistance on the floor as needed; specifically with sampling
- Participate in standard meetings (kickoff meetings, staff meetings, engineering meetings, postmortems, etc.)
- Participate in site surveys as needed

Requirements:

Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a promotion-track faculty appointment for Centenary Theatre Program beginning January 2027. Centenary Theatre Program (CTP) seeks skilled candidates to teach 1-2 technical theatre courses per semester, while also serving as the Director of Technical Theatre for the program. Courses may include general and specialized courses in technical theatre, stagecraft, AutoCAD and other departmental offerings as needed in a liberal arts environment. As Director of Technical Theatre, other duties include managing CTP work-study students, maintaining primary oversight and leadership of construction of sets, scenery, and props for our four annual main stage productions, including active management of the scene shop, costume shop, lighting and audio booths, and backstage areas.
CTP is a vibrant, growing theatre program focused on the professional success of our students. We view CTP as a brief, yet crucial period in the professional lives of our students. Costume Shop Manager
Lead the daily operation of our costume shop and oversee costume construction, maintenance, organization, and preparation for mainstage, education, Rose Brigade, and Metro Tour productions. Collaborate with Costume Designers and the Production Director to bring designs to life, lead mainstage costume builds, serve as lead draper, and supervise stitchers, apprentices, overhire, and volunteers. TTS Studios
CAD Drafter
The CAD Drafter of TTS Studios reports to the Head of Tech Design and is responsible for creating 3D models and 2D construction plates as well as CNC files and other technical / graphical communications. CAD Drafter is responsible for considering the scope of the project and technical briefs and for interpreting the design intent to create the best construction plan possible. They also work with the Project Managers and Director of Production to provide accurate, efficient plans for the different fabrication departments as well as closeout/installation documentation. The CAD Drafter is responsible for participating in the creation and maintenance of all modeling, drafting, and CNC standards.
Hours: Monday through Friday onsite, 8:00am to 4:30pm; 40 hours of work expected per week
Duties:
- Report to Head of Tech Design for task assignments and due dates
- Design technical solutions for units based on project parameters and technical briefs
- Report purchasing needs to Project Management throughout the design process
- Create 3D models and work out engineering challenges to turn into construction drawings
- Continuously and consistently work towards improving processes, drafting standards, cad templates, block library, etc.
- Work with other departments to explore/experiment with new products and materials
- Peer-review completed models before the technical design teammates create construction drawings
- Peer-review construction drawings before they are released to the shop
- Participate in project engineering meetings

Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a promotion-track faculty appointment for Centenary Theatre Program beginning January 2027. Centenary Theatre Program (CTP) seeks skilled candidates to teach 1-2 technical theatre courses per semester, while also serving as the Director of Technical Theatre for the program. Courses may include general and specialized courses in technical theatre, stagecraft, AutoCAD and other departmental offerings as needed in a liberal arts environment. As Director of Technical Theatre, other duties include managing CTP work-study students, maintaining primary oversight and leadership of construction of sets, scenery, and props for our four annual main stage productions, including active management of the scene shop, costume shop, lighting and audio booths, and backstage areas.
