A1 Audio Relies on Fourier Audio to Assure Great Sound for Every Level of Live Event

NEWARK-ON-TRENT, UK – August 2026 – If it’s your wedding, it’s as important as a Paul McCartney concert. That’s pretty much the philosophy of Chris McAleese, director and lead audio engineer at A1 Audio, based in Newark-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire, East Midlands, UK. An avid vendor and user of DiGiCo consoles and KLANG monitor mixing systems, A1 Audio also includes the Fourier Audio transform.engine as part of its regular kit for the company’s wide-ranging portfolio of live events, from corporate gatherings to fundraisers to spectacular weddings at Kensington Palace, Claridge’s, Corinthia London, Raffles, The Dorchester, and Grosvenor House.

“We choose our kit based on the best equipment that’s available, so we have the DiGiCo Quantum225 and Quantum112 mix desks, DMI-KLANG card, and L-Acoustics’ A Series and other PA speakers,” says McAleese. “Every event deserves the best sound it can have—concert-grade sound—and, for us, the transform.engine has become an integral part of making that happen.”

He’s incorporated a wide range of plugins via the transform.engine, a portable processing portfolio that he takes everywhere, to events ranging from highly local to as far away as Dubai, and often with the international show band Muzika. These include the new Alpha Labs Audio De-Feedback, Waves C6 multiband compressor, Fairchild 660 tube compressor/limiter, and a variety of reverbs as diverse as the spectrum of A1’s clientele and needs. “I use all of that for key things like vocals for music, and for speech, to keep both clear,” he explains. “On the conference side, I utilize it to clean up the lectern mics and headsets to ensure that everything is clear and intelligible.”

“What’s great about the transform.engine is that I’ve got everything I want and like to use right there with me, no matter where the event is, and regardless of what desk is at the site,” McAleese continues. “When we do work abroad, I literally take the transform.engine with me and I’ve got everything in there that I need. So it’s continuity, which is really valuable when working away. It’s so powerful for what it is. Now that I’ve used it, I wouldn’t do an event without it."
