Bloomington, IN — DeLong Rigging Solutions (DRS), a leader in professional rigging, installation, and technical production services, is now accepting applications for its 2026 Paid Apprenticeship Program, a full-time, year-long training opportunity designed to develop the next generation of entertainment rigging professionals.
The DRS Apprenticeship is a July–June structured training program combining classroom study, shop training, and real-world field experience. Apprentices begin with foundational education in the history, principles, and safety standards of entertainment rigging, followed by hands-on technical training in the DRS shop. As skills progress, apprentices integrate into active DRS crews, gaining practical experience across a wide range of venues and projects. By the end of the program, apprentices are prepared to work confidently as professional entertainment riggers while understanding the depth of knowledge and continued growth the trade requires.
Program Highlights
• Paid, full-time apprenticeship (July–June)

Training and Responsibilities
Apprentices participate in all training opportunities while learning to work across all areas of entertainment rigging. Key responsibilities include:
• Developing industry-specific technical knowledge and skills
• Assisting with daily project and installation tasks
• Maintaining professional communication and workplace conduct
• Upholding strict safety compliance (OSHA, ANSI, and industry standards)
• Representing DRS with professionalism, integrity, and safety awareness
• Observing company operations and participating in company events
Compensation Structure
• $15/hour during training and shop work
• $25/hour for first 500 onsite job hours
• $40/hour for additional onsite job hours

Applications will be accepted February 1 through April 1, 2026. DeLong Rigging Solutions utilizes a blind review process to ensure equitable and unbiased candidate selection. Identifying information is removed from application materials during initial review, and only top candidates are invited for in-person interviews. Travel expenses for interviews are covered by DRS.
