The Foundation for Stage Managers (F4SM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting stage managers and advancing the profession through grants, education, and community initiatives. The F4SM is seeking a Board Intern for a one-year term (June 2026 – May 2027) to support the organization’s communications and digital engagement efforts.
Position Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the Board of Directors, contributing to the Foundation’s public presence while gaining insight into nonprofit leadership within the live entertainment industry. The successful candidate will work 1-2 hours per week on average, but this will vary based on communications initiatives, campaigns, and Foundation events.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a non-voting member of the Communications Committee
• Support social media strategy across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X/Threads
• Assist in content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement
• Attend quarterly Board meetings and Foundation events
• Collaborate with Board members on digital initiatives and campaigns
Qualifications
• Current undergraduate or masters-level student or recent graduate
• Demonstrated experience managing or contributing to social media platforms
• Interest in theatre, live events, and nonprofit organizations • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Meetings will be held virtually, and candidates can live anywhere in the United States
