That devotion to craft is evident in the company’s new LINEAR series, a modular acoustic lighting system designed to shape both the visual and auditory character of a space. The system debuts with two distinct profiles:
● STANDARD, a classic, thin baffle available in 9 mm, 27 mm, and 60 mm profiles. The 9 mm option can be specified with either small-radius (straight) or large-radius (rounded) corners.
● STADIA, featuring bullnosed diffuse lens and endcaps, offered in 27 mm and 60 mm profiles.
Engineered for versatility, LINEAR empowers designers to shape light, sound, and form to suit any environment:
● Baffles may be specified unlit or with integrated light engines in the 60 mm profiles.
● Eighteen modular connectors enable countless configurations with 60mm profiles.
● Continuous runs stretch up to 164 feet, with drop lengths reaching 47 inches.
● Mounting options include direct-to-grid or strut, aircraft cable, or fabric straps.
● Optional integrations, such as Wi-Fi, motion sensors, and speakers, extend performance beyond illumination and acoustics.
“We built LINEAR to serve as a true toolkit for designers,” said Wes Cox, Sabin co-founder. “It’s intentionally open-ended, like a LEGO set. Every component can be customized—from the color of the PET felt and power cord to the suspension and light source.”
Emerging during a shift toward sensory-driven environments, Sabin reimagined acoustic lighting from the ground up, uniting two disciplines once treated separately into a single, seamless solution. The company’s fixtures deliver exceptional sound absorption and light diffusion, achieving GREENGUARD Gold certification thanks to the use of post-consumer recycled SCS™ and OEKO-TEX® certified PET felt. By reducing the use of adhesives in favor of a sewn construction, the company crafts products that are not only durable and tactile but also more inherently sustainable and repairable.
