SGPS/ShowRig Acquires Niscon Inc., Creating A Powerhouse In Entertainment Rigging, Automation, And Motion Control

LAS VEGAS, NV – SGPS/ShowRig, Inc., a global leader in rigging, staging, automation, and custom fabrication, today announced its acquisition of Niscon Inc., the Ontario, Canada-based innovator of motion control systems and automation. This strategic move, led by SGPS/ShowRig President Ned Collett, unites two of the most respected names in the business, combining SGPS/ShowRig’s world-class capabilities with Niscon’s Raynok software and advanced control systems. Niscon will operate as a division of SGPS/ShowRig from its headquarters in Ontario.

The addition of Niscon to the SGPS/ShowRig portfolio will create a unified approach and comprehensive solution to automation, motion control, and stage rigging. The combined entity will deliver unparalleled efficiency, creativity, and safety for concert tours, film and television productions, festivals, permanent installations, and similar applications, and will continue to deliver the innovative solutions that were a core principle of SGPS/ShowRig’s creative (late) founder Eric W. Pearce.

Denis Lefrancois, owner of Niscon and a pioneer in the entertainment industry, will guide the integration of Niscon with SGPS/ShowRig. His deep knowledge of the company’s technology and market will be invaluable as the companies merge operations and expand service offerings. Joseph Jeremy, Niscon’s co-founder/CEO will remain an integral part of the leadership team, ensuring a smooth transition and driving continued innovation. Peter Sinkner, Niscon’s co-founder and the principal architect of the Raynok software, will continue in a consultancy role.
