Tashkent, Uzbekistan — Sound Creations has announced the opening of Immersive Lab™, a new creative-technology space located at its office in Tashkent.
Spanning 500 square meters, the facility is designed for AV professionals — including system integrators, consultants, technical teams from theatres and museums, as well as event and rental companies — and serves as a platform for hands-on work with advanced solutions in spatial audio, projection mapping, and stage lighting.
A Platform for Real-World AV Experimentation and Testing
Immersive Lab™ is designed as a working environment for experimentation, solution modelling, and real-scale testing of multimedia concepts.
It enables industry professionals — including lighting designers, sound engineers, creative studios, and production teams — not only to explore audiovisual technologies through training, but also to test project solutions prior to implementation.
The space integrates spatial audio, projection systems, lighting technologies, and control systems into a unified AV ecosystem, allowing users to develop and validate complex multimedia scenarios across cultural, entertainment, and commercial applications.
Spatial Audio: L-Acoustics L-ISA Immersive System
At the core of Immersive Lab™ is the L-Acoustics L-ISA Immersive Sound System, featuring L-ISA Processor II, LA7.16i amplified controllers, LA4X, LS10 network infrastructure, P1 processors, and LC16D.
The loudspeaker configuration includes a frontal array of Syva with Syva Low, KS21 subwoofers, X8 coaxial loudspeakers forming a surround layer, and X8i systems integrated into the ceiling.
This architecture enables precise spatial positioning of sound sources, control over depth and movement, and the development of complex immersive audio environments.
Danila Khavtorin, Sales Manager for L-Acoustics and DiGiCo at Sound Creations, comments:
“At Immersive Lab, we demonstrate how L-ISA spatial audio can be applied in theatres, multimedia venues, concert halls, and immersive environments, where sound becomes part of the overall spatial dramaturgy and enhances audience engagement.”
Pavel Aheunin, Territory Manager at L-Acoustics, adds:
“The development of this space involved close collaboration at every stage — from design to installation and calibration — to ensure full compliance with L-ISA standards. The result exceeded expectations. The facility enables not only demonstrations but also the full range of official L-Acoustics training programs, supporting the growth of the regional audio industry.”
Further development of the space is already planned, including the integration of L-ISA Ambiance, for acoustic environment control, and L-Acoustics DJ, enabling real-time conversion of stereo content into object-based immersive audio.
Lighting Solutions: Ayrton / ETC
The lighting infrastructure at Immersive Lab™ covers the full spectrum of modern stage lighting, enabling the creation of complete lighting dramaturgy — from precise accents to complex dynamic environments.
The system includes moving heads, profile fixtures, wash/beam fixtures, LED solutions, and ETC Eos control systems, allowing flexible integration with audio and video workflows.
Kseniia Igoshkina, Regional Sales Manager at Ayrton, comments:
“Immersive Lab sets a new standard for experiencing light as an environment that engages and inspires. It provides a unique opportunity to explore lighting technologies not only through demonstrations, but through hands-on interaction and training.”
To further enhance accessibility, Mark Stavtsev, Sales Manager for Ayrton, ETC, and Robert Juliat, developed an interactive touch-based control interface (Magic Carpet), allowing users to experiment with lighting parameters without requiring console programming experience.
“Our goal was to remove the barrier between technology and the user. Even without prior experience, users can immediately understand how light behaves in space and influences perception. This fundamentally changes the decision-making process — from theory to real experience,” Stavtsev explains.
Projection: Barco Visual Systems
The visual system is built on 11 Barco I600 4K15 projectors, creating a seamless projection environment for mapping, architectural visuals, and immersive content.
The setup enables precise geometry correction, edge blending, surface adaptation, and synchronization with spatial audio systems.
A 360° immersive audiovisual show, created in collaboration with Artnovi (UAE), combines content production with Barco projection technology and is synchronized with L-ISA spatial audio, demonstrating how integrated AV systems can deliver a new level of audience, customer, and educational experience.
Nehir Özdemir, Territory Manager at Barco, comments:
“It’s inspiring to see such a forward-thinking immersive space come to life. Our projection technology is at the core of this experience, making it possible to deliver powerful visuals and truly immersive storytelling. This lab is also a unique milestone for the region, as there is no comparable immersive space in Uzbekistan or across Central Asia. We’re proud to play a central role in bringing this vision to reality.”
A New AV Hub for Central Asia and the Caucasus
Immersive Lab™ establishes Tashkent as a new center for professional AV development in Central Asia and the Caucasus, providing access to international technologies, real equipment, and practical workflows without the need to travel abroad.
The facility is open for demonstrations, project testing, and training, allowing clients and partners to experience AV solutions in real conditions before implementation.
