Students from our SUNY Fredonia Student Chapter organized and executed an exhibit that took residency in the Emmitt Christian Gallery on campus last month. The "Backstage Tours" Exhibit offered a unique look at the behind-the-scenes work on the productions they’ve mounted in their 2024-25 season. Along with showcasing the work and artifacts from those shows for an up-close look, they also displayed class projects related to production work.
“Overseeing the setup of the art gallery to display our work was a prime example of how teamwork and collaboration truly are keys to success in our industry,” said current chair of the SUNY Fredonia Student Chapter, Jamie Mattheus. “Students in our Theatrical Production & Design program of varying concentrations joined forces to put our display up, creating an exhibit that gave the Fredonia community insight into what we do as students, technicians, and designers. It was incredibly rewarding to see the hard work of my peers and me displayed in one place. It was even more rewarding to see so many students come together to create such a successful and memorable exhibition.”
