The Foundation for Stage Managers congratulates board member Ira Mont on receiving The 2026 Del Hughes Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Art of Stage Management. Ira’s talents served Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and touring stages. He advocated for the stage management community on the AEA Council, chairing the Stage Managers’ Committee for many years and is a former chair of the SMA. Ira joins other 2026 Del Hughes Awardees Jill Gold and Beverly Jenkins. Educator Nancy Uffner received the SMA Founders Award. W. Wilson Jones and Jon Goldman received Special Recognition Awards.
Entering its fifth year of operation, the Foundation for Stage Managers (F4SM) has promoted the craft and art of stage management by offering small grants assistance to career stage managers for skill development, research or symposium/conference attendance.
A contribution to F4SM might support a future Del Hughes Awardee. The Foundation for Stage Managers is a public 501 (c) 3 foundation. It is dedicated to supporting and inspiring today’s stage managers, as well as the next generation of stage managers.
