USITT Board of Directors Election Results Are In!
April 20, 2023
The membership of USITT elected four new directors and two new officers to its Board of Directors on March 15 during the Annual Membership Meeting in St. Louis. Voter turnout was 24.2% of eligible voters (835 of 3446), down from 29% in 2022, which remains well above the turnout commonly found in professional membership organizations. For many years USITT’s voter turnout had been in the low to mid-teens which suggests the organization is making positive progress in voter engagement. The Board and our Nominations Committee thanks the USITT membership for participating in our Board elections!
These individuals have been elected to terms that begin July 1, 2023. The terms for Secretary and Directors extend for three years (to June 30, 2026), while the President-Elect serves in that office for one year before becoming President for three years (2024-2027).
President-Elect: Kasey Allee-Foreman
Secretary: Ashley Bellet
Directors: Jeff Baldwin, Pinky Estell, Cary Gillett, Kimb Williamson
Congratulations to all those elected! The Board meets several times each year both online and in person to lead the Institute’s strategic vision, set policy, and ensure USITT is in a positive position for continued success. Soon the Nominations Committee will launch the next round of nominations. Please look for announcements inviting nominations, which can be submitted using an online portal. Nominations will be accepted through May, and the committee will review nomination materials this summer.
