Conference Assistants

Applications are now open.

Would you like to attend USITT25 for only $25?

If so, apply to become a USITT Conference Assistant and participate in our Conference Assistant Mentorship Program while learning about the intricacies of producing large events from professionals in the live events field.

It takes hundreds of people to put on an event as large as our Annual Conference & Stage Expo. And each year for decades, we've asked our Members to help us put on the event. Not only are we asking you to help us, we want to help you by providing one of the most unique mentorship experiences in the industry.

Conference Assistant positions are highly sought after each year. Make sure to apply early for these positions. You will be able to work in all areas of Conference such as venue set-up, stage expo floor, bookstore, registration, and more! Conference Assistant positions are available on a first come, first serve basis. DO NOT WAIT!

If this $25 rate is a financial hardship, please reach out to the National Office before you apply.

The chance to take part in this hands-on mentoring experience in large scale event production is a Member benefit. As such, you must be a current USITT Member. If you are not a Member, you must join before you apply.

Upon acceptance into the program you will receive a link to use to register which will give you an exclusive $25 rate*. By paying this rate, you agree to fulfill the 15 hour work requirement and attend a required session to begin the mentorship portion of the program. By accepting the $25 rate, you agree that if you do not inform USITT in advance that you cannot participate and you fail to fulfill the 15 hours of work during the Conference week, USITT will charge your card the remainder of the full cost of your Conference registration. Persons who inform USITT that they cannot fulfill their promise to participate in the program prior to the beginning of Conference will have their $25 refunded after the Conference.

Your Conference Assistant Mentorship Program participation benefit does not end when Conference closes. You will have the exclusive opportunity to engage with National Office staff and professionals in the industry through a series of webinars throughout the next year. Additionally, you will receive a code allowing you to take the BACKstage exam at no charge to measure your backstage skills.

While application to the program does not guarantee acceptance, USITT will close applications when we reach approximate capacity. You will receive confirmation if you are accepted or placed on a waiting list.
