Summary

Krannert Center Lighting support for concerts, productions, and events, affiliated with Krannert Center and the Department of Theatre, Department of Dance, School of Music, and the School of Music Opera program. Krannert Lighting provides key educational support for the MFA and BFA Lighting Design and program for the Department of Theatre. Under the direction of the Lighting Director, the Assistant Lighting Director is responsible for assisting with the operation, and maintenance of the Lighting Department and equipment, the four theatres, and all related spaces within the Center. Program ETC consoles as needed, keep full maintenance logs of all lighting equipment. Serve as a faculty member in the Department of Theatre Lighting Design and Technology Program. Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
BA or BFA in theatrical lighting, technical theater or related field
Experience in theatrical lighting technology, lighting networks (DMX, sACN), lighting design, theatrical rigging, and related technologies.
Intermediate ability to work with theatrical lighting equipment, products, protocols and terminology standard to the theatre and entertainment industry as gained through successfully completing a bachelor’s degree and professional theatrical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
MFA in theatrical lighting design or technology or related field
Experience working in a performing arts center or other multi-venue facility, experience in academic settings with direct supervision of students and/or instructional responsibilities.
OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour card, ETCP Entertainment electrician certified, Fall-Arrest Competent Person.
Knowledge of ETC lighting console programming.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Intermediate knowledge of theatre lighting, live performance practices and safety protocols.
The ability to communicate and effectively organize in all aspects of work is essential.
Must be capable of responsible judgment and mature interpersonal relationships.
Demonstrated ability and dedication to the lighting needs in all of the performing arts.
