Summary

Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Custom Fabrication (CF) Account Management team to develop and deepen client relationships, realize sustainable growth for ATOMIC, and ensure profit margins are met with our brand championed.

The Director plays a key role in the long-term growth of ATOMIC by integrating strong business practices and ATOMIC’s human-focused culture and brand. In doing this work, the Director cultivates a healthy and collaborative team environment with strong partnerships throughout the organization, bridging the work the Account Management team with our business development efforts.

Requirements

Finance/budget development/management/analysis skills to attain strong profit margins.
Familiarity with a high-volume scenic fabrication shop’s operation and transportation needs for non-permanent installation of projects on a 3–6-week schedule from “green light” all the way through load-out.
Experience of set construction and rigging, including knowledge of safety factors inherent in live event projects.
Ability to read drawings and ground plans.
Opportunistic/entrepreneurial focus and mindset.
Business acumen with the ability to develop strong partnerships.
Inquisitive with strong interpersonal skills and outstanding attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strategic thinking abilities and an ROI orientation.
Comfortable in a fast paced, deadline-driven, high-energy environment.

Strong decision-making abilities.
Ability to move between tactical and strategic including when solving problems.

Understanding of scenic construction, rigging and lighting or aptitude to learn.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and CRM systems (SalesForce preferred).
