Salary: Commensurate with degree and experience ($35,000–$57,000)
Western Oregon University’s Department of Theatre & Dance invites applications for a full-time Instructional Faculty position in Technical Theatre and Technical Direction. We seek a dynamic educator and theatre professional to serve as Technical Director for all departmental productions, lead undergraduate courses in technical theatre (e.g., Scenecraft, Stage Management, Lighting & Sound), and mentor students through hands-on production experiences.
This is a 1.0 FTE academic-year position with the potential for renewal and summer opportunities. The role also includes recruitment and community outreach to support program growth.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Technical Direction, or related field
Proficiency in digital design software (e.g., Vectorworks, AutoCAD, Adobe CC)
Production portfolio demonstrating relevant experience
